The "Musical Excursions" project aims to enhance the artistic, cultural, and environmental heritage of Ischia and the islands in the Gulf of Naples, using the technique of environmental interpretation with the use of music and poetry to tell the story of the places' identity, "narrating" the profound bond between community and territory, and reconnecting with ourselves and our surroundings.

Have you ever tasted dishes cooked under the boiling sand?
Have you ever listened to stories, music, and songs that tell of pirate raids on the island of Ischia?
Treasure maps, culinary treasures hidden under the sand, pirate folk songs, tales of redemption, and boiling steam await you along one of the ancient paths on the southwest slope, once used by locals to quickly travel from the sea to the mountains and to escape a possible pirate attack. Immersed in typical vegetation, we'll skirt ancient craters and transform into a real crew to conquer the final destination! Bring a bandana... Whoever doesn't sing is a pirate!

DAY 4
*The Scugnizzo of Porto d'Ischia*
*Musical urban walk around the port of Ischia*
Upon arrival on the green island, one of the first experiences you'll have is right beneath your feet: the young
port (formerly a lake) of Ischia, built by the Bourbons in 1854. This volcanic crater, formed after the 5th century
BC C., with its circular shape, will welcome you with its warm embrace, preparing you to learn about its
geology, its naturalistic and environmental aspects, and the tales of the Ischitans who, from there, starting in the mid-19th century,
exported their authenticity beyond their native island. All the songs chosen by your singing guide will fill every stage of this journey with sonic emotion.
Tasting and visit to an ancient Ischian winery on the right bank.

DAY 5
*The Path of Notes in the Wind*
*Musical Hike: Madonnina di Stavia - Cannavale (Barano d’Ischia)*
Meeting point is the monumental oak of Buonopane. From here, we'll ascend Via Buttavento to the Madonnina di Stavia, where we'll enjoy an enchanting view of the southeastern part of Ischia.
From the small and silent Madonnina di Stavia, where time seems to stand still amidst the winds and prayers hidden behind the chestnut trees, our journey begins.
As we walk towards Piano San Paolo, every bend will resonate with a note, a stone will tell its legend, and cultivated fields will lead us to imagine stories of peasant hands and distant voices. Here, work was a celebration, with folk songs and tammurriate (traditional music) to connect with the land and life. As the trail opens up, the light changes and the scents awaken: broom, wild herbs, damp, living earth. The finale is among the best... with a tasting at a biodynamic farm overlooking a picture-perfect panorama and producing its own unique wine.
*Technical data*:
Duration: approximately 4.5 hours (including stops)
Length: 3.5 km

DAY 6
*Songs among young craters*
*Musical excursion Fondo d’Oglio - Bosco della Maddalena - Fondo Ferraro*
On the northeastern side of Ischia,
between "young" craters and living earth, a landscape opens up where the volcano's breath is expressed through fumaroles and nature. Through holm oak forests and the rare papyrus of the fumaroles, the trail leads to the Fondo d’Oglio crater, where the quiet of a black hornbeam welcomes and invites you to listen. Here, music intertwines with the surrounding nature and will fuel us to climb to the "Macchia bianca," where the view opens onto panoramas encompassing the port of Ischia, and where we can't help but sing songs dedicated to Ischia, composed for her in her golden years. Skirting another crater, the route concludes in a moment of enjoyment and sharing, in a place where time seems to slow down.

- Lacco Ameno from Fungo to San Montano
- Ischia Ponte
- Vicoli Saraceni and Soccorso in Forio
Naturally, here too, with a geological nature guide, songs, and stories explaining each place.
If you're interested in these more gentle options, I can make you another proposal.
